There are 6 registered Historical Natural Brine Springs in the UK.
The Springs were often named, for example in Cheshire, the Brine Spring Towns of Nantwich, Northwich and Middlewich were established.
Simon Berry the landlord discovered
an unregistered 7th Spring in Vines Lane on Forties land, the first in decades
to be officially recognised as a Brine Spring by The British Geological Survey.
October 2016 The Brine was analysed for it's purity by Eurofins one of the worlds
largest leading Food Testing Environment Agency with written consent from The EnvironmentAgency for the Brine to be extract from the Salwarpe River.
After refining the Brineby using the traditional methods of boiling the Brine to evaporate the water content
we are left with pure salt.
